Games on Networks: from Theory to Experiments

GAMENET is a NetSci2018 satellite meeting.
It will take place on 12 June 2018 in Paris, France.

GAMENET aims at gathering scholars belonging to different fields of complex systems working at the interface of network theory and game theory at both a theoretical and applied frameworks.

GAMENET is a winner of the Young Initiative for Satellite Award and partly sponsored by this grant.

IMPORTANT: The speaker of the best contributed presentation at GAMENET will be awarded with the Best Presentation award (300 EUR), sponsored by Games. Also, GAMENET participants are warmly invited to contribute to the Games special issue: Games on Networks.

To participate to GAMENET, you must be registered to NetSci. Please see the options at NetSci registration page.

Please fill this form if you intend to participate at GAMENET.

deadline for submissions extended to 09 Apr 2018

Topics

Content

Game theory has applications in many disciplines including statistical physics, computer science, biology, economics, finance, climate change negotiations and sociology, and networks have been found to be ubiquitous in nature and in man-made systems. Network reciprocity, as a possible mechanism for supporting the evolution of cooperation, has been investigated for many years using both theoretical and experimental approaches. GAMENET satellite brings together both methodologies focusing on incorporating empirical findings to existing theoretical and simulation models present in the literature.

Why come to GAMENET

GAMENET will be an opportunity to create and trigger new collaborations among both researchers already working on games and those that will benefit from the suggested new approaches to face the problems they find in their fields.
